Private Immigration Services: Securing Your Future in the USA
When you seek to enter the USA or establish permanent residence, ensuring you are deemed legal is paramount. Failure to secure and maintain the correct status can lead to serious consequences, including deportation charges, family separation, and permanent bars from future entry.
At Lex Magnus Law, we understand that your individual and family immigration journey is one of the most important steps you will ever take. We are dedicated to providing clear, strategic guidance for private individuals seeking to obtain a Green Card or other valid, long-term U.S. visa.
Pathways to Permanent Legal Status (The Green Card)
There are various avenues to obtain your Lawful Permanent Resident (LPR) status—commonly known as a Green Card. We will assess your unique background and circumstances to determine your most viable path:
-
Family-Sponsored Immigration:
-
Immediate Relatives: We help U.S. citizens petition for their spouses, unmarried children under 21, and parents. This is often the fastest path as it is not subject to annual numerical limits.
-
Family Preference Categories: We assist U.S. citizens and Green Card holders in sponsoring more distant relatives, such as adult children, married children, and siblings.
-
-
Employment-Based Immigration (EB-1, EB-2, EB-3): While often utilized by businesses, individuals with exceptional skills, advanced degrees, or qualifying job offers may be eligible to self-petition or be sponsored by an employer for permanent residence.
-
Humanitarian Relief & Asylum: For those facing persecution or who have been victims of certain crimes, we provide compassionate, rigorous representation to seek protection through asylum, U Visas, or T Visas.
-
Diversity Visa Lottery: We advise eligible individuals on participating in the annual lottery program for nationals of countries with historically low rates of immigration to the U.S.
Valid Alternative Visas for Long-Term Stay
If permanent residency is not immediately available or your goal is temporary but long-term residency for specific purposes, we explore a range of non-immigrant visas that allow you to live in the U.S. and achieve your goals:
-
F-1 Student Visas: For those seeking academic education, including navigating the complexities of Optional Practical Training (OPT) and future conversion to work visas.
-
K-1/K-3 Visas: For fiancés and spouses of U.S. citizens, facilitating entry into the U.S. to complete the marriage and Green Card process.
-
B-1/B-2 Extensions: For visitors who need to lawfully extend their temporary stay in the United States.
Our Client-Focused Approach
The U.S. immigration system is a bureaucratic maze that can be overwhelming. We pride ourselves on simplifying this journey for you:
-
Provides Clarity and Strategy: We clearly explain the process, including visa priority dates, waiting times, and potential risks, so you can make informed decisions about your future.
-
Dedicated "Hand-Holding" Service: From gathering your initial civil documents to preparing you for your interview with USCIS or the Consulate, we walk you through every step with personal attention and support.
-
Affordable and Transparent Legal Fees: We offer flexible and competitive fee structures, often utilizing flat-fee services for common applications, providing you with certainty and ensuring legal representation is accessible without surprise hourly billing.

Green Card
At Lex Magnus Law, we understand the importance of family unity. Fortunately, so does U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services; therefore, immigration law allows for U.S. Citizens to petition for certain qualifying relatives and family members to obtain a green card. A green card can be marriage based, family based, or fiancé based.
Deportation Defense
U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services refers to deportation as the “formal removal of an alien from the United States when an alien has been found removable for violating immigration laws.” Currently, there are many common defenses against deportation.
At Lex Magnus Law, we understand that those individuals facing removal and deportation risk leaving behind family members, often times including young children and elderly parents alike, and they risk creating an emotional and psychological hardship for all of those involved.
Student Visas
Lex Magnus Law is prepared to assist individuals from other countries who seek to enter the U.S. for full-time education by securing the necessary student visa. Foreign nationals who intend to study in the United States have two primary nonimmigrant visa options: the F-1 visa for academic study, or the M-1 visa for vocational training.
U-Visa / VAWA
The U-Nonimmigrant Visa (U-Visa) offers victims of certain crimes, along with their close relatives, an opportunity to gain immigration status in the United States. Lex Magnus Law provides guidance on this visa. Qualification for a U-Visa is dependent upon the applicant meeting specific criteria, which they must be able to prove.
